There are a lot of excellent free Windows comprehensive repairing and fixing tools around the internet.
But there are times when you want just one quick fix for example when you are under a virus attack and you just want to enable the Task Manager or the Registry Editor so you can fight the virus back, or when some new installation changed your XP behavior and My Documents opens on every start up.
This is the right time to draw XP Quick Fix Plus with 40 common Windows XP problems fixes, only 0.58mb, portable, small and fast, a must have on every computer and with a small extra, a command line utility to fix 6 common problems directly from command line !
Be sure you are using version 2.0.1.0

ReplyDeleteThanks a lot!
ReplyDeleteThe zip download includes two files one is a GUI application and the other one is Command line application, both need no install, they are protable applications, which means you just unzip and run the application, you don't need to install nothing for them to run

I cannot get the file tp download - keep getting an index.html file
ReplyDeleteWhat is file tp ?
ReplyDeleteI'd guess that it's a typo, 'o' is right next to 'p'.
ReplyDeleteWhy the f-word I have to register just to download?
ReplyDeleteny one want to upload to a good file host one where you dont have to give away your email address.

Great software. But just installed on a netbook. When run I only get 7 and 1/2 buttons across the screen and have no way to expand your task window to look at the full button on the rigt.
ReplyDeleteSame problem, opens too big, unable to resize, missing bottom row, far right and close button. tried several usual solutions nothing works, ideas anyone?
ReplyDeleteI want the version for Windows 7 64bit
ReplyDeleteFor all the guys with size problems, try to use this release and update me if it is ok:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.esnips.com/doc/b9fbe057-1eae-4b72-b3c9-4e6636367428/lfx
It doesn't work very well on a netbook (1024x600). I can't see all buttons and definitely not the tooltips.
ReplyDeleteSizefix seems to work.
ReplyDeleteThank you,
I used your tool and all my desktop icons and archives have disapired. where can I find them????
ReplyDeleteAre you using version 2.0.1.0 ?
ReplyDeleteDid you read the post on this issue ?
you desktop is still there, in version 2.0.0.0 there was a small bug in which it point your desktop to the default profile, you need to download 2.0.1.0 and click again on the fix you applied, the logoff and logon again and your desktop will come back

ReplyDeleteMy wife's Vista laptop has lost the CD/DVD drive in the OS. It shows in the BIOS, but not in the OS. I've tried every fix I could find via Google, but nothing has worked so far. XP QuickFix has a tool to fix that in XP, would it work in Vista?
ReplyDeleteOpen the reigistry editor (regedt32.exe) and go the this kye:
ReplyDeleteHKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
if there is a value with the name:
NoDrives
delete it.
That key is not there. Only NoDriveTypeAutoRun.
ReplyDeleteTry my new tool "7 quick fix" this fix should work on Vista too
